Do you own a Bicycle? why not get your bike registered with Bike register. Its Free! Bike Register – Keep Your Bike Safe

Registering your bike is one of the easiest and most effective ways to protect it from theft. It helps police identify and return stolen bikes and acts as a strong deterrent to thieves.

Why Register Your Bike?

Increases recovery chances if your bike is stolen.

Helps officers quickly confirm ownership, making it easier to reunite bikes with the right person.

Deters thieves, as registered bikes are harder to sell on.

How to Register

Go to BikeRegister.com — the UK’s national cycle database.

Consider using a police‑approved marking kit to visibly mark your frame.

Additional Tips for Bike Security

Always lock your bike with a quality D‑lock and cable through the frame and both wheels.

Avoid leaving your bike unattended for long periods, even in familiar places.

Dronfield SNT regularly holds bike-marking events, giving you the chance to get your bike security‑marked for free. Keep an eye on our community updates and Derbyshire Alert for upcoming dates.

Local Shop Thefts Update
Over the last month, Dronfield SNT have continued working closely with partner agencies and local stores to help keep our community safe. Recently, we’ve supported shops including Sainsbury’s and others in improving security around high‑value items. Our officers have also been carrying out proactive patrols and using a range of tactics to identify those involved in reported shop thefts. This work is ongoing alongside all our local partners.

Thanks to these joint efforts, stores have told us they’re already seeing increased confidence among staff and customers, helping create a safer and more welcoming shopping environment for everyone.
